Today we did some research on why coral reefs are dying. We had to make a DLO on the topic. Climate change is affecting "Coral Reefs because a warmer ocean causes thermal stress that contributes to coral bleaching and infectious diseases". This article also mentions "ocean acidification (a result of increased CO2); causes a reduction in pH levels which decreases coral growth and structural integrity" (the info for this caption is from oceanservice.noaa.gov > facts > coralreef-climate).

Information report
This is an information report about water wastage.
Not enough water is found all over the world and people have found ways to get more water. But the question is; how do you wastewater?
You can wastewater by tipping the leftover water from your cup down the sink. You can simply pour it over plants to water them. If you turn the tap off when brushing your teeth you could save heaps of water. Having Cows increases water pollution and you could save the rivers by planting native trees along the river line will reduce the amount of pollution getting into the river while at the same time, feeding native trees. Water is really important and people found that out during the Christchurch earthquakes and exactly how much we use each day! You could also save water by only doing things when they need to be done.
Water Vapour is when water evaporates from the sea, rivers, or lakes and heads into the sky and forms clouds. Eventually, the clouds get heavy and it rains down. The water can stay as ice or snow for thousands of years. It flows down rivers and streams into the ocean.

Orographic rain
It was fun making this slide. It is focusing on the south island of New Zealand. The hardest part was making the land and sea since one side of the mountain is higher than the other. Orographic rain is when the wind from the sea comes onto the land, heads up the mountain, turns into a cloud, and rains down to earth. The wind has moisture in it.
